Follow the steps below to find your computer name and operating system
Windows Computer Name
- On your keyboard press ⊞ Win + R to display the Run prompt.
- Type msinfo32 into the Open text field and click OK.
- Your Computer Name is listed as System Name in the System Information application.
Windows Operating System
- On your keyboard press ⊞ Win + R to display the Run prompt.
- Type msinfo32 into the Open text field and click OK.
- Your Operating System is listed as OS Name in the System Information application.
Mac Computer Name
- Click the Apple Menu and select System Preferences.
- Select Sharing
- Your Computer Name is listed in the Computer Name text field.
Mac Operating System
- Click the Apple Menu and select About This Mac.
- Your Operating System is listed at the top of the this window.
