Trouble Connecting to Milligan Wireless?

If you need instructions for connecting to the Milligan Wireless network, click here: Connecting to the Milligan Wireless.

If you are having difficulty connecting, here are some issues that you may be experiencing and steps to resolve them.  If the issue you are having is not listed here or you have other questions about the Milligan wireless, write helpdesk@milligan.edu or call us at (423) 461-8704.

Problem: Rapidly Connecting and Disconnecting

If the wireless network appears to be rapidly connecting and disconnecting the first time you try connecting to it, you can “forget” the network to fix this problem.
  • On an iPhone or iPad go to the Settings app and click on Wi-Fi.  Click the blue info icon to the right of the wireless network name in order to “Forget this Network”.
  • On an Android device go to the Settings app and click on WiFi.  Click on the wireless network called Milligan_University and choose “Forget”.

Problem: No Sign-in Page

If you are able to type in the generic wireless password, but are not presented with the page that allows you to type in your personal Milligan user name and password, just visit any web site that you have not visited on that device recently.  At that point you should be prompted to enter your Milligan user name and password.

What User Name and Password do I use?

If you are a student, use the same user name and password that you use for Canvas.  The user name will look similar to smit6281. If you are a faculty or staff member, your user name is the first part of your e-mail address.  For example FAJohnson.
