How do I download Microsoft Office?
- Students will need to set up a Microsoft account using their Milligan email address by going to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office. Faculty and Staff can skip this step.
- Once you have your Microsoft account set up, you can sign it to http://office.com with your Milligan account.
- In the top right corner there will be a button titled “Install Office”. Click that and choose to install the software on your computer.
- You will need to register the software with your Microsoft account (which uses your Milligan email address).
Can I keep Microsoft Office after I graduate?
You will only be able to keep using Office for free while you are a student. When you graduate you must purchase your own subscription to Office 365 at the regular price.
Can I install Office for free on a second machine if my first computer dies?
With Office 365, there is no fee for installing it on an additional machine. In fact, you can install it on up to five machines as long as you are the only user on each.If you need any help, contact the Milligan IT department at 423.461.8704 or helpdesk@milligan.edu.
